This Weekend – Oswald Chambers write this in My Utmost for His Highest, updated edition: “The things that Jesus did were of the most menial of everyday tasks, and this is the indication that it takes all of God’s power in me to accomplish even the most common of tasks in His way. Can I use a towel as He did? The ordinary things in our lives reveal what we made of more quickly than anything else!” Here is a story of ordinary people doing ordinary things that God used in a miraculous way to bless others in a powerful way! Can God use us to do the same?

MIRACLES FROM MARK
Giving Nothing; Giving Everything!
Message 19 in the Series, Airing Week of 8/19/2019
Mark 12: 41-44
This Week – From one of the shortest passages in the New Testament, this is probably one of the greatest lessons on the subject of “giving to the Lord”. It’s a story of a woman who had nothing to give to the Lord; but Jesus says that she gave everything! This message is more than about giving to the Lord financially; it’s about giving that which represents all of us to everything we know about Him!
Monday (8/19) – After a humorous introduction, we read the text that’s only four verses long about the giving of a widow to the temple treasury in Jerusalem. Jesus says that even though she just gave two copper coins worth less than a penny, she actually gave “all that she had” to the Lord. The rich giving their offerings were giving out of their wealth; she gave out of her poverty.
Tuesday (8/20) – I tell the story in an earlier ministry of having to ask the congregation to give an “extra” $100,000 during the month of December my first year there. The surprise to me was, the people gave it! We share in this message about the giving of a widow who had nothing, no savings, and no income whatsoever. Yet she manifested a form of generosity that those people didn’t manifest in a sense.
